President of the Turkish Public Relations Association, Gonca Karakas, is the founder of Effect Group and CEO of Effect Burson-Marsteller as well as Karakas Financial Communications and Investment Relations.
Prior to Effect, Karakas was an investment banker. She started her career at West Deutche Landesbank and worked as a corporate finance executive at Yatırımbank, counselling clients on corporate and structured finance tools including initial public offerings and restructurings.
She is the founder and chairman of Ailem Olsun Street Kids Foundation, member of IPRA, Corporate Governance Association of Turkey and Chain des Rotisseurs Association.
